And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. – Mark 16:15 (AMP)
Each one of us were born with one single purpose and it is to know Jesus, to preach the Gospel to all people and to reveal Him to the world out there. We live to know Him and make Him known. So, in the light of this purpose, we have a word from Jesus for our lives, that I believe all of us should be busy with every single day of our lives. He said, “Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). When Jesus gave this command, it was applicable to everyone who heard his voice at that moment. It really did not matter who those people were. I promise you, none of them were perfect. They were normal people, with failures and mistakes, just like us. In the same way that Jesus sent them, He also sends us today.
You have a word from God that requires you to do something. This word does not say exactly how you should do it. There are no specifications to this word. Going into all the world and preaching the Gospel does not mean you have to leave your job and go into full-time ministry. It also does not mean you have to go to another country and preach there. Some people work from 8 to 5 every day and they do not have to leave their jobs in order to preach the Gospel. There are people at your workplace that you can share the Gospel with. I am certain that each one of us, no matter what our background or current situation, get in contact with people that are in need of Jesus. We should use our time, our energy, and our money to advance the Kingdom and to preach the Gospel. The fact that you might not be in ministry full-time, doesn’t mean you do not have to GO. There are so many ways that you can be part of it. You can give finances into a ministry that actively GOES, you can pray for people during your lunch break, you can sponsor a missionary, you can take leave and join an outreach team and the list goes on and on…. Nothing has to stop you from getting the Gospel into all the world.
Many people waste time because they feel that they don’t have the exact steps from God. It does not work that way. I remember when I got saved, I was still a student and I immediately started pouring my life into the kingdom. I did what I could to tell people about Jesus and to share His love. I never felt that there was something missing because I wasn’t doing it full time. Going into the world and preaching the Gospel does not require “specifics.” It works as follows: You preach the Gospel to people wherever you are and if God gives you “specifics,” you follow it. You do not wait for the “specifics” or the next step before you start with the great commission. Throw your heart completely into preaching the Gospel and start changing lives right where you are, and then when God gives the next step, take it. If you don’t know the next step, just faithfully continue pouring your life for the sake of the spreading of the Good News of Jesus. I want to encourage you to be actively involved in spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ. You do not have to feel condemned or think that you do not do enough. Just start today and GO FOR IT. This is how you begin: Start with any step in that direction. Take up the great commission.
JESUS SAID GO INTO ALL THE WORLD AND PREACH THE GOSPEL. THAT MEANS ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE…
Mark 16:15 -16:
15 And He said to them, Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news to every creature.16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be
